DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (October 2017) – Furia Rubel Communications, Inc., an award-winning, integrated marketing and public relations agency, is pleased to announce that Vice President of Public Relations Sarah Larson has been named a 2017 Emerging Leader in Bucks & Eastern Montgomery Counties. The awards program is presented by the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer and the Central Bucks Family YMCA and sponsored by Penn Community Bank.
“Sarah is a natural leader and gifted communicator who listens closely, watches carefully, and uses her insight to help clients and colleagues communicate effectively,” said Gina F. Rubel, Furia Rubel President and CEO, who nominated Larson for the honor. “Sarah’s strategic instincts are invaluable to our agency and our clients and business partners, and she often is called upon to provide strategic counsel beyond her usual responsibilities. Her commitment to excellence in her professional work and service to her community made her a perfect nominee for Emerging Leaders.”
The Emerging Leaders program honors promising leaders from local businesses and organizations in Bucks or Montgomery Counties who demonstrate high value to their employers and are community minded. Winners were honored in a special commemorative section of the newspapers available online and in print on Oct. 1 and at an awards ceremony at Delaware Valley University on Oct. 6.
“I am honored to be included among such talented and dedicated professionals,” said Larson. “Seeing all the ways in which these local leaders excel at work and give back to their communities is an inspiration for all of us.”
As vice president of public relations, Larson oversees the development and execution of the corporate communications, public relations, and crisis management strategy and initiatives for clients in the legal, financial, and biotech industries. A journalist for more than 15 years, Larson uses the insight gained during that career to lead her team to craft and tell compelling stories that shape public understanding of some of today’s most vital issues.
Committed to addressing unmet needs in her community, Larson also volunteers her time and talents to many nonprofit organizations throughout Bucks County, including HealthLink Dental Clinic; the Perkasie chapter of Rotary International; Pennridge FISH, a food pantry serving the Pennridge community; and the Bucks County-based women’s empowerment organization, Sisters U.
