Law Firm Technologies and What Today’s Associates Expect [Mid-Market Report]
Adopting new technology to aid in the practice of law can have a huge impact on law firm recruiting and retention efforts, because today’s associates are looking for firms that have adapted to technological advances. That is the conclusion that Gina Rubel, Founder and CEO of Furia Rubel Communications, shares in a two-part article for Law.com’s Mid-Market Report.
In Part I, Gina recaps a panel discussion at the 2018 Legal Marketing Association’s Mid-Atlantic Conference entitled, “You Don’t Just Buy Tech. You Live It.” She also shares thoughts from several law firm associate attorneys who say that “the ability to work remotely was most important, and for many, it influenced their decision to accept employment with their current law firm.”
In Part II, she explains that the adoption of technology by law firms can affect the firm’s culture, and notes that associates often prefer firms that allow them to participate in technology decisions. One associate commented, “As law firms continue to compete for clients and top talent, innovative technologies in the workplace will become more relevant than ever before in setting leading law firms apart.”
