How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (or at least not much) [Quoting Gina Rubel in PA Bar News]
Pennsylvania Bar News interviewed industry leaders on how lawyers can increase their business development, marketing and public relations efforts amidst COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.
Among those interviewed are:
- Ellen Freedman, Pennsylvania Bar Association Law Practice Management Coordinator
- Gina Rubel, CEO of Furia Rubel Communications, Inc.
- Wendy Witt of Million Dollar Attorney
Some key take-aways:
Freedman: “Lawyers need to connect more, not less, when we are physically separate. Then raise each level of personal connection for each communication you have with a client, from an email to a letter to a phone call.
Rubel: “Lawyers should be the thought leaders. Give answers to problems. Write blog posts and articles, create podcasts and publish videos. It is a misnomer that clients don’t want to hear any more. All data supports the fact that people are still opening emails about COVID-19, racism and diversity, because they need to know the answers.”
Witt: “I look at this as the time you can expand beyond the office. Whether you expand your practice statewide or even nationwide, now is when you can start that.”
